Nidra Gong Meditation

  • The Brown Building 4133 Poplar St. San Diego United States (map)

Combining her years of experience with magic, mysticism, ritual, yoga and Vedic studies, Sondra L. Scott will speak on how to apply yogic philosophy and techniques to create ritual experiences.

Originating in the ancient Vedic texts known as the Upanishads, Yoga Nidra is a tool and technique where one is guided into a state of “conscious relaxation.” You will be led into deeper levels of consciousness where deep change and healing can occur.

Gongs have been used to heal and for ceremonial, meditative & spiritual purposes for centuries in many different countries & cultures. The gong vibrates all cells of the body at the same time, it stimulates glandular system & breaks up emotional or energetic blockages & patterns, thus returning one to a natural state of balance. Therapeutic benefits are similar to that of meditation. Therefore combining these two we will be able to open space & opportunity for great change, healing and understanding while restoring the physical body.

Much like classic hermetic ritual starts with an intention, our work will start with a sankalpa or “resolve of heart and mind” and then combine mantra, pranayama, and the tantric practice of nyasa or the placement of energies within the body of light for a specific purpose. We will conclude with a ritual guided nidra gong meditative experience
